Special and Inclusive Education
Amira Wissa is an educational specialist who has worked for twelve years in the field of special education. She has completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the American University in Cairo and a Master’s Degree in Special and Inclusive Education from the University College London. Ms. Wissa carries out screenings or assessments, using standardized and non-standardized assessment tools, to evaluate students’ academic skills and accordingly design suitable intervention plans and recommend needed school and/or test accommodations. Furthermore, she provides remedial tutoring sessions within small groups as well as one-to-one for students with learning disorders and/or developmental delays. Ms. Wissa also provides trainings for teachers and parents, within structured courses as well as workshops and conferences. Her main topics of interest are developing early academic skills, reading and writing skills and mathematical skills.
