Nada Mahfouz, M.S., LGPC (Maryland- USA), NCC, is a counselor/ psychotherapist offering individual and group therapy for children ages 8 and older, adolescents and adults. Nada graduated from the Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, USA with a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2017.
Nada successfully completed the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) training. While in graduate school she completed her internship at a domestic violence agency in Maryland- USA where she provided individual trauma informed therapy and facilitated therapeutic and psycho-education support groups, and facilitated prevention workshops against teen abuse for adolescents.
She also provided individual therapy, group therapy and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) /DBT skills group at INOVA Partial Hospitalization Program in Virginia- USA as an intern. Nada’s experience includes working with clients with emotional difficulties and dysregulation, trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders (bipolar disorders… etc.), and survivors of domestic abuse.
Nada’s education and training also includes assessment and diagnosis, play therapy, person center approach, and psychodynamic therapy. During her master’s degree, Nada was trained in play therapy where she provided therapy to children ages 6-12, as well as child/ parent relationship through play therapy course where she co-lead a groups.
